Happy Father's Day

It brings me so much joy to see Jaffa be an involved, caring, and loving father to Kellan and Harper.

I saw this poem yesterday and had to share it.

Walk With Me, Daddy

Walk alongside me, Daddy
and hold my little hand.
I have so many things to learn
that I don't yet understand.

Teach me things to keep me safe
from dangers every day.
Show me how to do my best
at home, at school, at play.

Every child needs a gentle hand
to guide them as they grow.
So walk alongside me, Daddy.
We have a long ways to go.

Yesterday I asked Kellan what was special about his daddy.  He told me he loved Jaffa because:

-he makes good popcorn
-he wrestles me
-he takes me to the rec center
-he takes me on bike rides
-he lets me ride the horsey
-he takes me swimming
-he snuggles with me

Harper was pretty appreciative of the nights he's gotten up to change her diaper and feed her.

I'm thankful to be parenting alongside someone who can answer ALL of Kellan's questions, provide additional patience when mine is running thin, give the kids baths, read stories at bedtime, impress Kellan with his big splashes off the diving board, teach him proper form when shooting a basket, and above all show our children unconditional love.

Our kiddos are pretty fortunate to have a father that is involved in their lives, day in and day out.  Thank you Jaffa, for being the special man in their (our) lives.  We love you!
